Arcade Fire has just released a video for their song ‘Chemistry’ that was released as a part of their 2017 album ‘Everything Now’. The music video was directed by Ray Tintori but was animated by Starburns Industries (Rick and Morty). Their previous video was a short film titled ‘Money + Love’. Youth Gallery released a new EP and a video for their song ‘Wait’
Youth Gallery are a Cape Town based indie duo you should most definitely be looking out for. They just recently shared their second EP titled ‘Tv Yellow’. Sticky Fingers are officially back with new song ‘Kick On’
Sticky Fingers have returned from their 12-month hiatus and have announced a world tour, and shared a single titled ‘Kick On’. The world tour is set to take place in June and they will be visiting cities in North America, Oceania, and Asia. All the dates can be found here. The Aussies have been through a lot over the last few months, but this new single and tour seems to be a fresh start for the band. ‘Kick On’ is the bands first release since their 3rd studio album ‘Westway (The Glitter & the Slums)’ that was released in 2016. Sticky Fingers are “a melting pot of psych, rock, reggae, & bourbon”.
The Arctic Monkeys are back. It’s been 5 years since their landmark album AM, which was released in 2013. Now, the Sheffield group is back with a new album, ‘Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino’, which comes out May 11th. It’s not clear what type of sound we’ll be getting from this album, but nevertheless, it will be exciting. The new album is available for pre-order here. Mac has just shared a video of a cat and I guess he’s named Pickles. In the movie, he is eating dinner, with an original score by DeMarco himself. Some are saying it’s new music…I’m not so sure. Tommy Wiseau stars in The Neighbourhood’s video for ‘Scary Love’
The Neighbourhood has just shared a video for their previously released track ‘Scary Love’ that was featured on their EP ‘To Imagine’. The clip stares Tommy Wiseau, most famous for his 2003 movie ‘The Room’. Today also marks the release date for their self-titled third album. ‘The Neighborhood’ is out now via Colombia Records and features 12 songs including previously released tracks, ‘Scary Love’, ‘Void’, ‘Stuck With Me’, ‘You Get Me So High’, and ‘Sadderdaze’. The NBHD will be heading out to South America this week for appearances at Lollapalooza Chile, Argentina, and Brazil. Underoath announces new album, releases single, ‘On My Teeth’
Just yesterday, the band posted a photo with what seemed like a lyric on their Instagram. Today though, all photos on the band’s Instagram and other social media was wiped, with profile pictures of the band and its members being replaced with a solid green. The singular post on the band’s Instagram is a short clip with an instrumental, encouraging fans to visit the site eraseme.io. Once you visited the site, there was a countdown clock for information on their new album. Underoath has since announced their new album, ‘Erase Me’, set for release via Fearless Records on April 6th. To celebrate the announcement, they’ve released the lead single, ‘On My Teeth’. This marks the first time Underoath fans will be hearing new music since 2013, and since the band’s reunion in 2016.
Thom Yorke soundtracked a short film with his new song ‘Why Can’t We Get Along’
Radiohead’s frontman Thom Yorke soundtracked rag & bone’s new short film. The short stars Ansel Elgort, and Kate Mara. The film was shot in one day and features members from the American Ballet Theatre, a YouTuber, members the Bulletrun Parkour, and more. The short was directed by Benjamin Millepied, Aaron Duffy, and Bob Partington. Radiohead will be heading to South America in April, see all the tour dates here.
Neil Young + Promise of the Real share video for their song ‘Almost Always’
Last year Neil released an album titled ‘The Visitor’, a collaboration with the California band, Promise of the Real. The video for ‘Almost Always’ is vintage inspired and the song reminds us of Youngs early releases. Neils most recent musical release was a collaboration with rapper DRAM. The title of the track is ‘Campfire’ and was released as part of the soundtrack for the Will Smith movie, ‘The Bright’.
