Miracle Comeback

Miracle Comeback

Brian Rhatigan

After a health scare mid last year, Melody Prochet returns with a new single under Melody’s Echo Chamber. After 2012’s self-titled smash hit, Prochet took a leave from the spotlight, which was extended due to a believed aneurysm. Regardless of difficulties, Prochet’s comeback single brings a new meaning of psyche rock to the table. Accompanied by dreamy vocals and lots of reverb, Prochet further brands her neo-space rock, proving that whatever obstacles may cross her path, she can get over it, and come out as a better musician.

In an interview with Pitchfork, Prochet was very open in stating that “Life” has been the most difficult part of life in the past year. Full interview here. Prochet also noted that most of the inspiration behind “Breath in Breathe Out” was due to her “troubles breathing”. Regardless of whatever whacky inspiration may be behind her music, no one should doubt Melody Prochet’s ability to make some of the best psyche rock music of the decade.
